GOD IS YOUR SOURCE

KEY TEXT: Psalm 23:1-2 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”

BACKGROUND AND THOUGHTS ON THE TEXT

David boldly declared, "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want." This statement reveals complete confidence in God's ability to provide, guide, protect, and sustain His people.

Many people mistakenly place their confidence in salaries, businesses, connections, or human systems. While these are legitimate channels through which God works, they are not the source. Channels may change, but God remains constant.

Understanding God as your Source gives you peace during seasons of uncertainty. Economic changes, job losses, and financial pressures do not alter God's ability to provide for His children.

The Shepherd knows where the green pastures are. He knows when to lead, when to protect, and when to restore. Trusting Him means following His leading even when you do not understand the journey.

The believer who truly knows God as his Source becomes generous rather than fearful because he understands that God's supply is never exhausted.
