LIVING THE RESURRECTION LIFE

KEY TEXT: Philippians 3:10

(KJV) “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”

BACKGROUND AND THOUGHTS ON THE TEXT

Christianity is built around the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the believer's life should not be defined permanently by defeat, despair, failure, or yesterday's pain.

Paul desired to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. The resurrection demonstrates that what appears finished can live again by the power of God.

The resurrection life is a life of faith, growth, hope, and continual advancement. It does not mean that believers never experience adversity. It means adversity does not have the final word.

You may lose something without losing yourself. You may experience disappointment without becoming permanently disappointed. You may fall without remaining on the ground.

There is resurrection power available to the believer. Your failure is not your identity. Your disappointment is not your destiny. Your present condition is not necessarily your final destination.

God wants you to grow beyond merely attending church into knowing Him, understanding His ways, and developing a faith that can withstand the pressures of life.

You are not called merely to survive. You are called to rise, mature, and fulfil God's purpose.

APPLICATION

• Develop a personal walk with God.

• Refuse to identify yourself by your failures.

• Feed your spirit consistently with God's Word.

• Expect restoration and new beginnings.

• Choose faith whenever circumstances invite fear.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, let the power of Christ's resurrection be evident in every area of my life.

2. Lord, deliver me from every mindset that keeps me living beneath my spiritual potential.

3. Father, give me grace to rise above every circumstance that seeks to defeat me.

ACTION POINT: Identify one area of your life where you have accepted defeat and begin to pray and act from the standpoint of resurrection.
