Great People Value Time

KEY TEXT: Ephesians 5:16

"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."(KJV)

BACKGROUND AND THOUGHTS ON THE TEXT:

Greatness is not accidental; it is built with disciplined use of time. Every wasted hour is a lost opportunity for destiny advancement. Those who value time eventually become valuable to their generation. Your future is hidden in how you spend today.

Apostle Paul admonishes believers to maximize every opportunity for God because the world is filled with distractions, temptations, and spiritual darkness. Time is a divine resource that must not be wasted. Paul wrote this while teaching Christians how to walk wisely and live purposefully. A practical Bible case study is Nehemiah, who refused distraction while rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 6:1–3). Despite opposition, he stayed focused on his assignment. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Every moment matters when destiny is involved.

Do not waste the opportunities God has given you. Maximize every moment through prayer, personal growth, soul winning, and purposeful living. Like Esther, discern the season you are in and rise to fulfill divine assignments before the opportunity passes. Redeem the time by living intentionally for God’s glory and kingdom impact.

APPLICATION:

Make every moment count by investing your time in things that advance God’s purpose for your life. Avoid distractions, procrastination, and careless living. Like Nehemiah, stay focused on your assignment and refuse anything that weakens your spiritual growth, productivity, and destiny. Every redeemed day is an opportunity to pray, grow, serve, and make impact for the Kingdom of God.

PRAYER POINTS:

  1. Father, deliver me from time wastage.
  2. Lord, help me maximize every opportunity.
  3. I receive wisdom for productive living.

ACTION POINT: Make a deliberate plan to use your time wisely each day. Set clear priorities, avoid distractions that waste your time, and dedicate part of your day to activities that strengthen your spiritual growth, personal development, and purpose. Let every day count toward becoming a better and more effective person.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Job 3–4, Matthew 2
